Gimbalcom performs the detailed design associated with all aspects of your system requirement. We include associated activities such as rack layouts, system wiring, test specifications, monitoring and interface design, power distribution, and software definition/proving and system handbooks.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Gimbalcom can support your system implementation with our project management services, either as a traditional contractor or as a full management service. We can produce full and comprehensive project plans including all milestones and critical path analysis. We address supplier and task tracking, risk reduction, activity co-ordination and scheduling of activities. We can also support you in sub-contractor selection, contract negotiations, specification definition, control and reporting of sub contractors and suppliers.

PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS

We provide performance predictions for new systems and system upgrades. Gimbalcom can also co-ordinate detailed investigations and link testing for systems that are not working to their optimum capability.

Gimbalcom link budget calculations are not wholly software based, but use our practical experience to augment their theoretical basis. Power dissipation, mains power and mechanical load calculations are often used in support of an investigation.

Gimbalcom offers a range of proposal support services to help your organisation be successful in winning new business. When deadlines are tight we can help reduce the loading on your existing proposal team. If your customer requirement represents a new product area for your company, Gimbalcom can provide a complete technical proposal that maximises customer confidence in your capability.

Complete proposal
Whether you are an end user, integrator or equipment supplier Gimbalcom can produce your complete proposal including civil and structural work, pricing breakdown schedules, technical statement of compliance, system building, commissioning, project management and training/post development support responses. To assist your pricing of the proposed system, Gimbalcom will use its relationships with major subsystem suppliers to ensure timely and accurate costing of any bought in units. The proposal will address your customer's specific requirements rather than provide a standard 'off the shelf' response. Gimbalcom will operate within the confines of your standard proposal format to ensure that time-consuming re-writing and editing are not required.

SYSTEM UPGRADES

Gimbalcom can work with customers to revise the arrangements on existing systems to improve the performance, increase the capacity or provide more automated operation. Many existing systems can be upgraded rather than replaced, Gimbalcom will review existing equipment, identify any new requirements and make recommendations, if these are approved, Gimbalcom can rework the system to implement the changes. Should retraining of personnel be needed this can also be provided.

CONSTRUCTION

We here at Gimbalcom can organise your system build and testing using a network of contracting staff and associates with expertise that minimises costs and time on site. Gimbalcom's structure maximises its ability to offer flexible, innovative solutions. We can work with your product department to co-ordinate build and testing activities. Gimbalcom could produce full details of build and wiring as well as selecting sub-contractors and furnishing instructions to support the build process.

Site Surveys
Valuable time can be saved at the proposal stage by contracting Gimbalcom to perform the site survey. A comprehensive site survey report identifies and makes provision for all risk areas and predict site-specific limitations to system design and performance.

INSTALLATION

Gimbalcom is experienced in performing all types of installation work worldwide; from VSAT networks to 11 metre fixed antenna systems and fly-away/Electronic New Gathering mobile systems. We produce risk and method statements associated with all on site tasks in addition to coordinating all site activities. Our experience extends from mechanical and electrical interfacing, foundation laying and craneage to commissioning and satellite testing.

COMMISSIONING

Gimbalcom can be hired to perform testing at pre-delivery, pre-installation, on site and with the satellite operator for IFLU and SSOG. We fully document the tests in accordance with your system requirements. A full documentation package includes system layout,wiring, general assembly, schematics and handbooks together with maintenance and training notes.

MAINTENANCE

The Gimbalcom service need not stop at system acceptance. We also provide tailored maintenance solutions ranging from telephone trouble-shooting support of your site staff or routine preventative maintenance programmes to a full call-out repair service to get you back in operation without delay.
